Cardi Rose Cake

Cardamom Rose Cake featuring The Chai Box's tea blend, Hill Station with black tea. Easy to make cake in less than 45 minutes.

It's almost Valentine's Day and we have the perfect cake to impress your Galentine or Valentine this year. This recipe is easy to make and infuses Hill Station into any boxed cake mix.

INGREDIENTS

Infused Milk

  • 1 cup of Milk 
  • 4 Tbsp of Hill Station blend

Cake

  • 1 Boxed white cake mix
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • 1 cup of Infused Milk

Icing

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp rose water

Optional

  • 1 tsp of Hill Station for Cake Batter
  • Rose Petals for decoration

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Infused Milk
    • On a stovetop, warm up 1 cup of milk and then add 4 tbsp of the Hill Station blend. Let it come to a boil. Strain and let it cool in the fridge for up about 30 minutes.
  • Combine the boxed cake mix, 3 egg whites, oil, and 1 cup of the chilled Infused Milk. Mix until smooth.
    • Optional: Add 1 tsp of the Hill Station blend (directly from the packaging) to the cake batter for some added texture (highly recommend)
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Mix the powdered sugar and rose water to create an icing for your cake.
  • Once the cake is done baking and has slightly cooled down, poke some holes into your cake and then spread the icing so that it soaks up all the flavor (be GENEROUS with your icing).
  • Cut your cake into small squares.
  • Decorate with rose petals
