(1) Single Origin Spices

We source a majority of our single-origin spices from small-scale family-owned farmers in Kerala, India, that practice regenerative farming. Regenerative farming is a big part of the community. Women are at the forefront of these operations and as a result further fuel the development of their community. 

These farms have been passed down from generation to generation and continue to implement sustainable farming practices.

(2) Composting

The brewing of our chai concentrate leaves behind a by-product of the fresh spices and teas used in production which we refer to as “Chai Mulch”.  We’ve partnered with COMPOST NOW to collect all the chai mulch and distribute to local farmers helping with their production.

(3) Packaging & Shipping

Our glass concentrate bottles and glass loose-leaf jars are 100% reusable and we encourage that our customers use them to store liquids, spices and even for floral arrangements.

All orders are packaged with biodegradable packing peanuts that are dissolvable in water and nearly eliminate interior packaging waste. So make sure to wash those packing peanuts away!
